We're so excited to be able to announce the new appointment of Hannah Price and Mark Ravenhill as joint artistic directors of the King's Head Theatre ahead of the venue's 2022 historic venue move. tpr Media has worked with Islington's renowned pub theatre for over a year and a half now, it is fantastic to see visions for an even more inclusive and diverse future come to life. The new creative team pledges to produce work that: "Allows us all to imagine a better future".

Burma: Food, Family & Conflict River Café Launch

11 March 2020

On Wednesday 11 March, we were delighted to go to the River Café for the London launch of Burma: Food, Family & Conflict co-authored by brother and sister, Stephen and Bridget Anderson. The book centres around interviews with the authors' grandmother Gertrude (referred to as Grandy), the daughter of Sir William Carr, an English colonial high court judge and Ma Khin, a Burmese woman who rolled cheroots (cigars) for a living.

Winners of the AHRC Research in Film Awards 2019 announced

Team tpr had a great time on Tuesday night (12 November), at the BFI Southbank where the fifth annual Research in Film Awards organised by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) took place. These are the only awards entirely dedicated to showcasing the breadth of research in arts and humanities through film and five winners were selected from hundreds of submissions and a strong short-list.

Remember Baghdad

Last Tuesday evening the tpr team were involved in the screening of Fiona Murphy's new documentary-film, Remember Baghdad. This fascinating film tells the story of Iraq through the eyes of the last Jews of Baghdad, who lived there for 2,600 years until only a generation ago. With vivid home movies and footage from Iraq today, eight characters tell their remarkable story. We held the event at the impressive Jewish community centre, JW3, where almost 300 people attended.
